June 2017

Welcome to our new blog page here at FCC.  I am so excited to be back and be a part of this wonderful facility!  There are so many positive things currently going on at the club and I want to share with you a few of the improvements taking place out on the course over the past month.

Tim Stumpp and his hard working friends at Blanchard Valley volunteered their time to come help us with our spring plantings.

They were kind enough to come out multiple times and enjoyed every minute of it.

On the course we were busy cleaning up our bunkers to give them a crisp,  clean look.

The addition of new stone along the river bank is a nice touch.  Here are some before and after pics.

Eric does a great job topdressing greens.  This cultural practice provides a thin layer of topdressing sand that will help to provide a smooth, firm putting surface.

We have experienced some weather patterns that were ideal for some disease activity, but with constant scouting and proper selection of turf fungicides we were able to control them in a timely manner.

The course is absolutely beautiful and late evenings provide us with some great photo opportunities!

Remember to enjoy time with your families this summer and I hope to see you on the course!
