more improvements being made, week of June 26, 2017

There are a lot more improvements being made here at Findlay Country Club!  The overgrown flower bed next to #1 tee has been cleaned out, tilled up, and sod has been laid over a majority of the soil.  This should be completed by the end of the week.  Our new tractor was ideal for this project and operated flawlessly.

Our irrigation system also saw an upgrade with the addition of a new jockey pump.  The one being replaced has been in operation since 1995.  A portable winch was used to lift out the old pump and lower the new one down into position.

A new addition to the cart path next to #2 tee along with the repaving of old cart paths from  #1 green through #3 tee will allow for a much smoother ride and gives us a nice, clean look.  The turf that was removed for the addition next to #2 tee was used to sod a majority of the flower bed next to #1 tee.

Evan, Sam, and Nate were working hard and did a fantastic job!

Soil was dug out and stone was added to provide us with a nice, solid base for the new asphalt.

The new asphalt was poured and we could not be happier with the finished product!

The repaving of the cart path from #12 tee over to the driving range also saw an upgrade.

All of the bunkers were weeded over the past week and given a nice clean edge.  They are looking great heading into the holiday weekend!

I was fortunate enough to have my family stop by the shop this week and the kids love to sit on our mowers pretending to drive.

A beautiful sunset was also captured on one of my evening drives.  I love the long shadows and views at the end of the day!

I hope you all have a great holiday weekend and are able to enjoy the fireworks here at the club!
